Tottenham Hotspur extends contract with Pape Sarr until 2030
The 21-year-old Senegalese midfielder has delivered an outstanding performance this season, showcasing his versatility prominently within the team.
In the current Premier League season, he has featured in 18 out of 20 matches, with 16 starts. He scored his debut goal on August 20th in a 2-0 victory against Manchester United, helping the team take the lead. In the year-end home match against Bournemouth, which ended in a 3-1 victory, he netted another goal. Currently, he has made 33 appearances across all competitions.
Pape Sarr was signed by the club in August 2021 from Metz and was subsequently loaned back to Metz. In the 2021/22 season, he made 27 appearances for Metz and earned a spot in the Senegal national team in February 2022.
In the previous season, he made a breakthrough at Tottenham Hotspur, appearing 14 times in various competitions. On February 15, 2023, in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 against AC Milan at San Siro, his partnership with Skipp in the young midfield left a lasting impression.
At the 2022 Qatar World Cup, Pape Sarr made two appearances for the Senegal national team, accumulating a total of 16 caps for his country.
