Kyogo Furuhashi is not a good fit for the Japan national team

Kyogo Furuhashi is not a good fit for the Japan national team

According to Japanese media outlet **Football Zone**, Kyogo Furuhashi's playing style seems to be somewhat incompatible with the tactics of Japan's national team coach, Hajime Moriyasu.

Despite having made 21 appearances for the national team, Furuhashi has yet to showcase impressive performances. The report indicates that his strength in making off-the-ball runs has not synced well with his teammates' passing, which has affected his overall play. Moreover, the constantly changing roster during national team training camps means he often has to rely on individual skill to score goals in the absence of established chemistry, further contributing to his struggles and eventual exclusion from the squad.

Nevertheless, Moriyasu has repeatedly given Furuhashi opportunities, seemingly hoping he can expand his style of play. Similarly, Reo Hatate, who plays for Celtic, is facing a comparable situation. Although he has been called up to the national team, his playing time has been limited. With many European-based players in the squad, Hatate currently lacks a suitable starting position. However, his solid performances in multiple positions keep him as a substitute choice for the coaching staff.
