Borussia Dortmund Eyeing a Possible Loan Deal for Man Utd's Jadon Sancho

In a surprising turn of events, Borussia Dortmund has emerged looking to sign the Manchester United winger, Jadon Sancho, on a loan deal until the end of the season. Manchester United signed Sancho from Dortmund back in summer 2021 for a deal amounting to £73m.

Sancho has not featured for the Red Devils since August, following public disagreements with the club's manager, Erik ten Hag, over his training performance. Post this fallout, Sancho has been training away from the first team and has not been picked in a single matchday squad.

With United open to offers for him and sale processes commenced, a potential return to Dortmund does seem in sight now. All transfer decisions, however, will go through Sir Jim Ratcliffe, owner of INEOS, who recently acquired 25% of Manchester United and assumed control of football operations.

Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth expounded on the matter that if Sancho plays well in Dortmund for six months and returns to Manchester United, his market value could experience substantial elevation. There also exists an outside chance of him integrating back into the United squad after the loan period.

Nevertheless, much work remains to bring this deal into fruition. Apart from discussions regarding a loan fee, another significant aspect requiring resolution is Sancho's substantial wages. The question here is whether Borussia Dortmund is equipped to pay his full wages or would expect United to bear a portion of these.

Manchester United had earlier shown willingness to terminate contracts if it brings about greater good along with a necessary shift in clubs' culture and recruiting strategy over business interests. This could also possibly come into play with Sancho if an exit route does not surface.
