Kylian Mbappé's mother has once again become his agent

According to information from the Spanish media outlet Relevo, Kylian Mbappé's mother, Fayza Lamari, has once again become his agent. This development marks a new twist in the transfer saga surrounding Mbappé's potential move to Real Madrid.

Kylian Mbappé's mother has once again become his agent

At the age of 25, Kylian Mbappé rejected a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain in 2022, and it is anticipated that he will sign with Real Madrid this summer. Negotiations with Real Madrid are expected to officially commence on January 1st. As early as October of the previous year, the Spanish newspaper "Marca" reported that due to new regulations from FIFA regarding agents, Fayza Lamari, Mbappé's mother, could no longer represent her son. FIFA aimed to implement a qualification system for player agents, establishing limits on the commissions agents can receive from transfer fees and wages. Lamari has been removed from FIFA's list of registered agents, meaning she couldn't play a role in Mbappé's transfer negotiations.

Now, with FIFA temporarily postponing the agent qualification requirement, Lamari is once again able to represent Mbappé. According to FIFA's regulations, agents who have not passed the exam have been granted a temporary grace period. However, they are expected to participate in further exams in May and November 2024.

According to previous reports, Real Madrid set a deadline, requiring Mbappé to decide whether to join before mid-January. Some within PSG believe that Real Madrid may not meet the salary demands of the forward. If Mbappé moves to the Santiago Bernabéu, his salary would be twice that of the highest-paid existing players at Real Madrid, potentially causing discord in the locker room.
